POLYSEAL (PLASTIC FELT)range of high performance waterproofing membranes is manufactured with selected APP and other polymers. The blend of these polymers imparts high chemical resistance and retards the process of ageing associated with UV exposure while at the same time retaining all the mechanical properties.
It consists of high performance APP polymer modified bitumen with high softening point and high penetration to make it ideal for waterproofing. The center cores of the membranes are made with 90 and 100 microns thick HMHDPE films. The polymeric bitumen is coated on both sides with a 20 microns thermofusible HMHDPE film. The HMHDPE film is the reinforcement barrier against water and moisture.
Superior Chemical and UV ResistanceThe Plastic Felt Ar Polyseal Waterproofing Membrane is engineered to resist harsh chemicals, including salts, alkalis, and acid rain. Its excellent UV resistance ensures that the membrane maintains its integrity and performance when exposed to sunlight, making it ideal for outdoor installations.
Flexible Performance in All ClimatesWith an elongation at break greater than 300% and a temperature range of -10C to +80C, this membrane stays elastic and robust in diverse weather conditions. Its adaptability reduces risks of cracking or tearing even during thermal expansion or contraction.
Safe, Non-Toxic, and Easy InstallationNon-toxic and non-flammable, Plastic Felt Ar Polyseal is safe for both installers and the environment. Its flexible, textured surface enhances adhesion, while the option for torch or cold adhesive installation accommodates various site conditions and preferences.
FAQs of Plastic Felt Ar Polyseal Waterproofing Membrane:
Q: How is the Plastic Felt Ar Polyseal Waterproofing Membrane installed?
A: You can install this membrane using either a torch-on method or with a cold adhesive. The textured finish promotes strong bonding to surfaces, making application straightforward and reducing the risk of water ingress.
Q: What surfaces and applications are suitable for this membrane?
A: This waterproofing membrane is ideal for roofs, basements, water tank linings, and retaining walls. Its flexibility and chemical resistance make it suitable for diverse industrial, commercial, and residential waterproofing projects.
Q: When should I consider using this membrane over other waterproofing options?
A: Choose this membrane when you require a high-performance, durable barrier with excellent UV and chemical resistance, especially in environments prone to harsh weather, temperature fluctuations, or chemical exposure.
Q: Where can the Plastic Felt Ar Polyseal Waterproofing Membrane be applied?
A: It is suited for both exterior and interior locations demanding moisture protection, including rooftops, basement walls, retaining walls, and inside water tanks.
Q: What is the benefit of its flexible, polymer-based construction?
A: The flexible polymer design allows the membrane to adapt to movement in building structures, expansion, contraction, and minor substrate shifts without cracking, ensuring long-term waterproofing.
Q: How long does the membrane last, and what is its shelf life?
A: Under proper storage and usage conditions, the membrane has a shelf life of up to five years. Once installed, it offers extended service life due to its high-quality materials and resistance properties.
